For microfinance field officers: daily work, collections and transactions.
Ceylon Cloud Ecosystem
The Ceylon Cloud Ecosystem is our approach to connecting business software, management tools, communication services and compatible devices around the way a business operates.

Business activity happens across offices, branches, sales counters and the field. Information may begin as a transaction entered on a tablet, an attendance record from a biometric device or a support request raised by a customer. Our ecosystem is designed to connect these activities with the systems and people responsible for managing them.
A business owner may run a microfinance company alongside a retail, trading or manufacturing business. Each operation has different requirements. Microfinance needs loan administration and recovery workflows, while a trading business needs sales, purchasing and stock management. Our ecosystem is designed around these differences, with a common management layer that helps owners understand what is happening across their businesses.

Owner tools
CeylonCloud One is being developed as the shared management layer for owners using Ceylon Cloud solutions.
Through mobile access and a web management dashboard, its intended role is to bring together business summaries, transactions, staff activity and performance across connected businesses. An owner operating both a microfinance company and a trading business could review information from MPAC ERP and Smart ERP through a common management experience.

Mobile apps
Released on iOS, Android, macOS, Windows and the web.

For microfinance field officers: daily work, collections and transactions.

For customers of MPAC ERP companies: loans, latest transactions and notifications.

For Smart ERP field work, POS machines and touch terminals.
Services around the software
Ceylon Cloud SaaS Manager supports the service management side of the ecosystem: how Ceylon Cloud manages its customers and the software services they use.
Its scope includes customer administration, subscriptions, onboarding, implementation progress and technical support tickets. Connecting these workflows helps our teams follow a customer’s journey from initial setup through ongoing service and support.
For example, a technical ticket can be associated with the relevant customer and service, giving the support team the context needed to coordinate the work and follow its progress.
The ecosystem includes a direction for connecting SMS gateways, WhatsApp APIs and other communication services with relevant business events.
These connections can support workflows such as customer notifications, payment reminders, onboarding messages and technical ticket updates. The communication channel and automation are defined according to the customer’s requirements, provider capabilities and agreed integration scope.
Our ecosystem roadmap also includes exploring connections with Amazon Alexa, Apple HomePod and other compatible voice assistant or smart speaker platforms.
Potential uses include authorised business summaries, reminders and selected voice-assisted actions. Available functions will depend on each platform’s capabilities, authentication requirements and integration restrictions.
Access to business information through shared devices must follow the permissions configured for the user and the business.
Connected hardware
Compatible devices can extend the ecosystem into the places where work happens. The purpose of these connections is to bring device activity into the relevant business workflow, reducing the need to maintain separate records manually.
Biometric devices can provide attendance events to connected HR and payroll workflows.
Access control devices can support configured entry permissions and access records, subject to the device’s supported interfaces.
PDAs and handheld devices can support field collection, stock handling and other mobile operational tasks.
Tablets can provide interfaces for field work, ordering, kiosks and business administration.
Other compatible hardware can be assessed for integration where it provides a useful business function and an accessible interface.
How it works
For example, a biometric attendance event could feed an agreed HR workflow; a collection recorded on a field tablet could update MPAC records; and a customer support request could enter SaaS Manager for technical ticket handling. CeylonCloud One’s intended role is to bring relevant management information from connected operations into the owner’s view.
Connections are implemented through supported APIs, device interfaces and configured workflows. Availability depends on the product, device model, service provider and agreed project scope.
