About us

Grounded in the needs of business owners

Ceylon Cloud Technologies (Pvt) Ltd is a Sri Lankan software company whose business journey began in 2008. Our founder, Buddika Premarathna, started independently by developing custom business software for Dushan Caterers, our first customer, following an introduction through a university friend.

Building the business brought its own challenges, particularly reaching the point where income could cover operating costs. That experience keeps our work grounded in practical business needs and the responsibilities owners carry every day.

Today, we develop MPAC ERP, Smart ERP, mobile applications and customised software that support business operations. Through the Ceylon Cloud Ecosystem, we are bringing these capabilities towards a connected management experience. As our next step, we plan to introduce our solutions to selected international markets in 2027.

Our first customer · since 2008

18 years on, our first customer is still with us

We are proud that Dushan Caterers, the business that gave us our first project in 2008, still works with us today and now runs on our automation ERP solution. Their trust started Ceylon Cloud, and it is the standard we hold ourselves to with every customer.

From one customer to a connected business ecosystem

How a custom software project in Sri Lanka grew into MPAC ERP, Smart ERP and the Ceylon Cloud Ecosystem.

    One developer, one customer

    Our founder, Buddika Premarathna, starts independently, developing custom business software for Dushan Caterers, our first customer, following an introduction through a university friend.

    From custom projects to platforms

    Custom work for many businesses shows us the patterns they share. We build two specialised ERP platforms: MPAC ERP for microfinance and Smart ERP for everyday business operations. Our systems are also implemented in the government sector, where public-sector institutions use them in their daily operations.

    We move into a new office, with a team that has grown alongside our customers and products. The occasion begins with a traditional blessing ceremony.

    Apps for the people doing the work

    MPAC Finance for field officers, MPAC Wallet for customers and Smart ERP Go for field sales, POS machines and touch terminals, released on iOS, Android, macOS, Windows and the web.

  6. Today

    The Ceylon Cloud Ecosystem

    We develop MPAC ERP, Smart ERP, mobile applications and customised software. Through the Ceylon Cloud Ecosystem we are bringing these capabilities towards a connected management experience, with CeylonCloud One being developed as the owner’s shared management layer.

  7. 2027

    Beyond Sri Lanka

    We plan to introduce Ceylon Cloud solutions to selected international markets, starting with the business workflows and support needs of each market.

International Expansion in 2027

We plan to introduce Ceylon Cloud solutions to selected international markets in 2027.

Our expansion will build on the business software experience we have developed since 2008 and the connected approach behind the Ceylon Cloud Ecosystem. As we prepare for new markets, we will assess local business workflows, implementation needs and support requirements to define suitable offerings.

For Ceylon Cloud, international growth is the next stage of a journey that began with one customer in Sri Lanka, and continues with the ambition to support businesses beyond our home market.
